31-03-2018: Special Sunset March to accentuate the Sunset Marches in April 2018

A very special initiative. Members of the Dutch Veterans bikers Association adopted the Sunset Marches in April. Each and every day a member of this club of veterans and riders of motorbikes walks the Sunset March. On Saturday March 31 a mutual Sunset March of these veterans was held as start. Sunset March Veterans, especially Kees Bleijerveld, Partners, and citizens of Nijmegen, Sergeant William (Bill) Emil Kero, 82nd Airborne Division 307 Engineer Battalion Co C, was killed in action on September 20th, 1944, during the liberation of Nijmegen, fighting for the freedom of future generations. On October 18. the members of Team31 and some close friends of the Sunset March celebrated the fact that every night in the last three years a veteran walked the Sunset March. 73 years after the famous and heroic Waalcrossing a Special Sunset March took place. The Chairman of the Committee 4-5 May, Gerdi Verbeet and the Chairman of the Foundation for Musea 40-45, Fred de Graaf walked in front. DVBA has adopted the month April 2018 in the Sunset March schedule. This association will register a veteran, who is also a member of DVBA, for each day of that particular month. They will use a special code for their applications to walk the Sunset March. You are kindly requested to refrain from booking in April, 2018 to support this very special initiative.
